The Character-based Capitalism Programs for organizational development are designed to develop organizational leaders in client companies who will build cultures of Character-based Capitalism.
The entire curriculum is directed toward addressing the unique challenges of strategic, operational and grassroots leaders and creating within them the discipline necessary to lead effectively at each level.
We’ve carefully structured our approach around the four foundational pillars and the Good to Great disciplines (people, thought, and action) to create a comprehensive system that cascades the core principles and practices of Character-based Capitalism throughout an enterprise to transform operations at all three leadership levels and achieve performance excellence.
The design begins with Strategic Leaders after which the program can cascade, either concurrently or sequentially, to other levels within the enterprise. How and when programs cascade is determined between company leaders and their consultant/coach.

Strategic Leadership

Designed for C-suite executives and senior leadership, this track focuses on organizational strategy, culture design, and the systems needed to cascade character-based leadership throughout the company.
The strategic leaders on this track develop the values, vision, mission, and goal that comprise an organizational purpose. The cumulative effect of the Strategic Leadership Program is the creation of an Organizational Transformation Plan that will continue to drive the entire enterprise on its Journey to
Performance Excellence, supported by the Organizational Leadership System (OLS). The Journey to Performance Excellence and the Organizational Leadership System are core foundational concepts in implementing a Character-based Capitalism culture.
Operational Leadership
Tailored for middle management and emerging leaders, this program emphasizes the practical implementation of CBC principles, translating strategy into day-to-day operations and behaviors.
The Operational Leadership Program needs to be embedded within the onboarding program to ensure new hires at this level as well as Grassroots leaders who have been promoted understand their responsibilities in reinforcing and building the culture while continuing to develop as both individual and organizational leaders.
Grassroots Leadership

Grassroots Leadership for an Innovative Culture is for front-line employees. It is an entirely asynchronous online self-study program with short modules for each pillar. The employee’s immediate supervisor coaches the employee using the online learning platform to which the participant and coach have routine access, which enables them to communicate with each other about the program and allows the consultant to monitor the process.
By the conclusion of these programs, leaders within the client companies you serve will have the following:
- Clearly defined core values are integrated into all systems.
- A leadership model deployed at all organizational levels.
- A compelling vision, mission and goals with a clear line of sight.
- Enhanced capabilities in leadership, knowledge/organizational learning, and execution.
- A comprehensive transformation plan for the next 12-18 months.
Implementation
The program is designed to move an organization along the Journey to Performance Excellence. Once business leaders understand the need for an effective, integrated leadership system to achieve performance excellence, they engage with a consultant who can help them traverse the Journey, which begins with helping a client understand the business stage in which they currently operate:
- Reactive: Chaos and reactive management dominate the culture.
- Systems: Processes to achieve uniformity and efficiency exist within some departments but not throughout a company.
- Alignment: Leaders strive to “connect efforts” to a defined organizational purpose.
- Integration: Silos between departments have disappeared to increase enterprise-wide collaboration and innovation.
- Entanglement: A fully engaged workforce where everyone thinks and acts like owners while driving a pervasive culture of performance excellence that makes competitors irrelevant.
Transformation doesn’t end when formal leadership programs conclude. The teachings and “best practices” must be embedded within each organization’s DNA to create ongoing advantages that evolve and strengthen over time.
This is where the role of the consultant evolves from being a facilitator to that of a partner in the company’s transformation. Through regular assessment and calibration, consultants ensure their client’s transformation stays on track while adapting to changing business conditions and emerging opportunities. Consultants will employ mechanisms such as those that follow to achieve successful transformation:
- Guiding Coalition Formation: Developing an internal leadership team to champion transformation, ensuring the initiative maintains momentum and addresses organizational realities.
- Action Teams: Establishing cross-functional implementation teams addressing specific action plans for priorities that arise from team meetings, ensuring practical application of program concepts while breaking down silos.
- Organizational Transformation Plan: Creating a comprehensive roadmap for the next 12-18 months, translating program learning into concrete actions with clear timelines, responsibilities, and metrics.
- Metrics and Measurement: Implementing customized tracking systems that monitor operational results and cultural indicators, providing clear evidence of progress and areas for continued focus.
- Leadership Coaching: Supporting key leaders as they implement new approaches, helping them overcome challenges and optimize their impact throughout the transformation process.
When company leaders systematically build Character-based Capitalism Culture throughout their organization with the help of a certified consultant, they create the foundation for sustainable success in today’s dynamic business environment.
Our clients consistently report improved operational results and a fundamental shift in how their teams collaborate, innovate, and execute.
